ROBBO THANKS HAMMERS
Dons manager Karl Robinson has thanked West Ham for bringing their top players and a big away support to the friendly against the Dons. He said, "We'd like to thank West Ham. They showed us a lot of respect by bringing some of their superstars, A lot of Premier League teams dismiss teams like us. We have also got to say a big thank you to the West Ham fans. They have turned out in their thousands, which has contributed to our football club massively."
PLATT AND MCLEOD - CHANGE OF FORTUNE
Clive Platt and Izale McLeod once combined at Milton Keynes to provide a formidable front line for the Dons. However, since moving away from MK their fortunes have changed considerably. This week it's been announced that Platt has been signed by Championship club Coventry, joining up with former boss Aidy Boothroyd. Meanwhile, having been released by Charlton, McLeod has failed to impress at Brentford where he's been on trial. Bees manager Andy Scott said yesterday, "We will take another look at him against Palace, but he will have to do a lot more than he did against Woking to stay with us.”
MKDSA Quiz Night
The Milton Keynes Dons Supporters Association has announced it will be holding its next Quiz Night on Monday 2nd August in the Red Dot Bar, Stadium MK. The evening kicks off at 7.45pm and entry is free. You do not have to be a member of the MKDSA to take part and if you turn up on your own the hosts will find a place for you in an existing team.
