Dons Progress to Round Two Result More Imprtant than Display

Its not surprising under 5,000 turned up today what with having to pay and with the poor displays over the last few weeks those who didnt venture to StadiumMK were wiser than those that bothered.
Mr Ince asked the fans to up the ante and they did, shame the players didnt respond save for a few brief spells.
Macclesfield looked set to frustrate with a very well organised and disciplined performance the Dons lacked passion and desire and seemed happy to once again play across the field rather than up and down ie towards their opponents goal.
Lewis Gobern did the business after coming on to replace the injured Martin Devaney, he lashed in a rebound on the volley that nearly took the net off the frame of the goal. Chadders looked busy in spells after a bit of a lay off and carved out a few chances.
Credit to the Silkmen's keeper he was very busy second half and made a couple of decent saves and came for lots of crosses. The main thing is we made it to the second round draw.
