Crucial Week In The Season Ince Calls on Fans ![]() Saturday sees the MK Dons enter a very vital phase in the season and Paul Ince rallies the fans ahead of the first of three games in seven days that could well ultimately shape the season. Ince used www.mkdons.com to ask fans to crank the volume up from the stands. He admonished our collective efforts as we were one of his players who'd under performed and failed him when given a role to fulfill in a game. He told the OS "Sometimes in games like last Saturday, with 10,000 fans there, if we don't start well and fail to get the crowd going, then the crowd need to get us going. "There wasn't that atmosphere on Saturday, it was almost like a reserve game. Most of the time it's down to us to get the crowd going, but we've seen before this season that they can be like the 12th man and that wasn't the case on Saturday." "We're all in it together, we all want to be successful and we all have to pitch in when things aren't going well." Hopefully we've all got our singing voices with us for the visit of Macclesfield and can respond to Ince's call and inspire the Dons on to secure a second round FA Cup tie.The Dons next two games are both cup games and both at home to League Two opposition and its crucial we progress in both competitions whilst maintaining our push at gaining promotion to the Championship. Up first is the FA Cup game with Macclesfield and its really important that we achieve a place in the Third Round and stand a chance of being drawn to face a big Premiership or Championship club when they enter the competition in January. Last season saw Roberto Di Matteo lose a First Round home tie to Bradford City also of League Two and Ince will not want to suffer the same fate, specially as Macc are his old club. Three days after the Cheshire side visit local rivals Northampton roll into town on Tuesday night for a Southern Area Quarter Final tie in the League Trophy (JPT) which has taken centre stage again after last seasons disappointing defence of the Trophy we won in style at Wembley the previous season. After the welcome distraction from the bread and butter games of League One with two cup competitions where its hoped a double progression is sprinkled with helpings of good confident football its back to the day job of chalking up points on the board as we travel to a real six pointer, if they exist this side of Christmas, at The Valley, home of Charlton Athletic on Saturday 14th November. A win in South East London will act as a springboard in the final two thirds of the campaign and will leave the Dons sitting in an automatic promotion place for the first time since Paul Ince returned to StadiumMK. All in all its an extremely important three games that will guide us towards discovering more about what could be a very very good season indeed. Sing loudly at the back and if you dont know the words its time to learn them. Altogether now .....
